Dsquared "Fox Hunting" Silver Belt Buckle

US$150.00

A very interesting belt depicting a group of men during a fox hunt. This scene is adorned with an asymmetrical Baroque-inspired silver frame. Also featuring a removable buckle, high quality leather, and Dsquared branding on the “frame”.

This belt is a perfect reflection of the brand’s recurring “Born in Canada, Made in Italy” motif. Although fox hunting is now banned in most countries, there was a time when the sport was very popular, particularly in the America and the British Isles. Thus, this depiction reflects the brand’s connection to Canada and offers a more introspective view than usual. At the same time, the shiny frame is a reflection of Italian beauty and design. The asymmetric composition of this frame could be a comment on the commoditization of the past or our inaccurate interpretation of it. I tried to find information on the collection, but to no avail, which leaves room for speculation on this last point.

Size: M. Measures 36 inches to the smallest hole and 40 to the largest (from about 31 to 36 waist id say) Can make more holes if needed.

Colour: Silver frame and dark brown leather

Condition: belt buckle is slightly distressed by design, small signs of wear in the leather (8/10)
