Military Yugoslavian Camo Jacket (50s-60s)

US$175.00

A very unique camouflage jacket from the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. This jacket is part of a suit that was used exclusively by scouts, snipers and paratroopers of the YPA (Yugoslav People’s Army). The suit was heavily inspired by “Ameba Kostjum,” which was used by the Red Army during the Second World War. In fact, this Yugoslav version only differs from its soviet counterpart in its camo, as the construction is very similar to its predecessor.

The camo pattern is very distinctive, utilizing a pointillism technique with overlaid shadows of sticks and leafs. Along with this peculiar camouflage, the jacket also features a unique construction. Featuring an “adjustable collar,” a very boxy fit, and “belt loops” all over to insert sticks and leafs for further concealment.
