Rick Owens Mohair Knit Gloves (FW03)
What better way to star Rick Week than with an item from Rick’s debut in the international fashion scene?
Despite building a cult following in LA for years, Fall Winter 2003 marked Rick Owen’s debut in Paris. For the first time, the world saw Rick’s flair. Asymmetric cuts, beautiful drapes, luxurious skins, and soft knits flooded the Parisian runway, teasing the distinguishing goth aesthetic that we love today.
This beautiful pair of gloves perfectly represent Rick’s goth sensibility. Made in a mohair-merino wool blend, these knit gloves are meant to drape and stack on the arms of the wearer. These soft gloves also feature a beautiful light brown shade.
Knit gloves have become a staple in Rick’s repertoire, with a different iteration almost every collection. It is also worth noting that a very similar pair (with some fingers cut off) was also issued for FW13 and FW19, but this pair is the oldest iteration i have ever seen.
One size (on the larger side)
Brown (for lack of a more fitting name)
10/10 condition
