The Flak Vest is a fragmentation protective device used by the US army in the Vietnam war. Features adjusting lace on the sides, two front pockets, two molles, a high collar and a double closure system. Its armour makes it heavy and bulky, giving it a very interesting shape.

This iconic design has permeated into high fashion, inspiring many artist like Helmut Lang, Massimo Osti, and Takahiro Miyashita to make their own version of the protective vest.
